Father Cade Frederic has devoted his life to the church, but beneath his pious exterior lies a violent compulsion to eradicate sin. Assigned to a parish in the architecturally stunning yet troubled town of Festivale, Vermont, he intends to cleanse the community of its darkness.

His mission is derailed by Amaya Paquette, a devoted sister by day and an alluring dancer by night. Amaya avoids close relationships to protect herself from abandonment, but she inadvertently captures the priest's intense and consuming attention.

Convinced that Amaya is a malicious force testing his faith, Cade resolves to eliminate the temptation she represents. As his fixation grows, he finds himself torn between his violent religious convictions and an undeniable attraction, threatening the life of the very woman who has captured his focus.
